How To Apply For Community Grants
2026 Grant Applications Are Now CLOSED
Who Can Apply
Grants are available annually to organizations recognized as Qualified Donees by the Canada Revenue Agency — including registered charities, school divisions, and municipalities. Not sure if you qualify? Contact us.
If your organization is not a Qualified Donee, you may still be eligible by partnering with a Qualified Donee on a joint project. Additional information about the partnership will be required as part of the application.
What We Look For
We fund projects that demonstrate:
- A strong, committed volunteer board of directors
- Fiscal responsibility and effective resource management
- Broad community impact relative to the funds requested
- Collaboration and partnerships where possible
We look for projects where our funding makes a real difference — filling gaps, enabling something new, or helping an organization move forward. We are less likely to fund requests where our grant would serve as a primary source of operating support or cover the bulk of a major capital cost.
After You Apply
If your application is successful, you’ll be asked to sign a Grant Agreement before funds are released. Funds are generally distributed in the fall. At the end of your project, a brief follow-up report will be required.
